Support for Sensitive, Overwhelmed, or Shutdown Nervous Systems

Two pathways for support — therapy or non‑clinical nervous system programs.

For when your nervous system feels overwhelmed, shutdown, or stuck in survival mode—there is a softer path forward

What You’re Feeling

You’ve been carrying more than any one person should have to hold. Overwhelm, shutdown, looping thoughts, old patterns that won’t budge — these aren’t failures. They’re signals. You’ve tried being strong, reasonable, accommodating, and still your system keeps sounding the alarm. Nothing is wrong with you. Your nervous system is tired, and it’s asking for support.

What is Possible (Vagal Authority)

When your nervous system settles, everything changes. Your mind clears. Your reactions soften. You feel more like yourself — steady, connected, capable. This is what I call Vagal Authority: the quiet influence of a regulated system. When you’re grounded, you naturally shape the tone of your relationships and the spaces you’re in — not by effort, but by presence.

Two Pathways: Therapy or Nervous System Programs

Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)

Available anywhere. A gentle, non‑clinical nervous system program designed to support regulation, soften overwhelm, and help sensitive systems feel safer. Paced, attuned support for adults seeking nervous‑system‑based help without therapy.

Therapy

Oregon‑only. IFS‑informed therapy for trauma, overwhelm, and emotional patterns. Relational, paced, and grounded in nervous system awareness.

How I Work

I blend Internal Family Systems (IFS) with gentle, nervous‑system‑based approaches to help you shift out of survival mode. We slow things down, notice what’s happening inside, and create space for your system to soften and reorganize. I don’t push or force. We follow what feels possible, not what feels overwhelming. My work is warm, paced, and deeply respectful — rooted in the belief that your system already knows the way.

About Me

I’m Megan — a therapist and nervous system practitioner based in Eugene, Oregon. I help adults who feel stretched thin, stuck in old patterns, or disconnected from themselves find clarity, steadiness, and internal leadership. My approach blends IFS, nervous system science, and experiential tools like SSP. I work gently and collaboratively, trusting your system’s wisdom and pacing. At the heart of my work is a simple belief: when your system feels safe, you can access the parts of you that know how to lead your life.

Work with Me/Connection Call

If you’re curious about working together, you’re welcome to schedule a 15‑minute connection call. It’s a calm, low‑pressure space to talk about what you’re experiencing and what you’re hoping for. Whether you’re seeking therapy or nervous‑system‑focused support like SSP, we’ll explore what feels right for your system and what kind of pacing would support you best. There’s no pressure to decide anything — just a chance to connect and see what feels possible.
